MakeMusic Releases SmartMusic 10.1

Free upgrade includes new features and repertoire

MakeMusic, Inc. (Nasdaq:MMUS) announced today that SmartMusic® 10.1 is now shipping and available for download from www.smartmusic.com. This latest upgrade to the acclaimed music learning software provides compatibility with accompaniments made with Finale® 2008, repertoire additions, new features and support for the Windows Vista operating system.

Repertoire additions include:
More than 130 new band, jazz band and orchestra titles
Rubank Advanced Method, Vol. 1
The Yamaha Advantage, Book 1

Additional new features include:
Full support for sending and receiving assignments through a school network that uses a proxy server
Support for Rubank and Yamaha Advantage method assignments
