USA Today news now available through Widgets
USA Today has announced that they are now enabling their readers the ability to access their news stories through online widgets.
They would be able to add these widgets on their blogs and personal websites. These widgets would then deliver updated news items along with other information.
Widgets are small applications which can be added to desktops and web pages. They can access information from web sites and other online sources.
Windows Vista and Mac OS X comes with support for the widgets and these can also be installed on web pages using small code provided by companies.
Google and Yahoo are two of the major internet companies offering widgets to the web users. Yahoo widgets can be used on desktops while Google offer them for usage on web pages.
Kinsey Wilson, executive editor of USA Today said in a statement that they are offering three kinds of widgets this week. They are planning to add four more in the coming months.
