Microsoft to launch Windows Live services installer this week
Software giant Microsoft is scheduled to launch their Windows Live services installer sometime this week. This installer would basically be a single downloadable installer which would allow the users to install all the applications and tools provided by Windows Live.
This looks similar to what Google offers through its Google Pack.
Some of the applications to be in this package are: Windows Live Photo Gallery, Windows Live Mail, Windows Live Messenger 8.5 and Windows Live OneCare Family Safety.
Market analysts say that this launch is expected to be a major event from the company which hopes to challenge the existing players providing web based services. Google, AOL and Yahoo are two major rivals in this market.
However, they need to do something more than just launch a common installer to win back the customers they have lost to Google and other companies in the recent years.
