Microsoft refreshes their “Get the Facts” Anti Linux website
Software giant Microsoft has now updated their anti Linux website which is designed to give their customers facts about the cost of ownership of both the platforms.
The updated website has been designed to be gentler and gives details on how their Windows Server operating system compares to open-source Linux and other competing operating systems.
They have provided information related to total cost of ownership, reliability, security, manageability and interoperability.
The site provides details on Windows Server and rival products in the market including Linux, Unix, and IBM’s mainframe architecture.
It also includes customer information, feedback from industry experts, white papers and resources about the capabilities of Windows Server.
The company stated in a release that the updated website was an evolution of its Get the Facts campaign. The original version was criticized by the market analysts as too direct off an attack on the Linux OS.
