Adobe to unveil Moviestar beta today

Software giant Adobe is now going to take their Flash Player technology to the next level.

The company is scheduled to unveil their “Moviestar” technology today which would support the H.264 codec video compression standard.

This video compression standard is now widely used on several platforms including Blu-ray systems, HD-DVD players, and TV set-top boxes.

Adobe plans to release the final edition of this new technology sometime this upcoming fall.

The company said that using this enhanced technology, companies would be able to deliver better-quality experiences and do so more efficiently in terms of bit rate.

Market analyst Melissa Webster added: “H.264 is a very widely supported standard, and it’s one of the key standards for HD. This means Flash Player will be able to play all the content people are currently creating in H.264, no transcode required”
