Stockholm, Sweden - Aug 17, 2007 - Snarb.tk today announced the immediate availability of XHub Media Center 2.1, a substantial update to its popular home theater software. The new version adds advanced slideshow features, an even more appealing interface, and many other improvements.
XHub Media Center is quickly becoming one of the most favored alternatives to Apple’s Front Row software. Developed exclusively for Mac OS X Tiger and later, XHub Media Center is fast, feature-rich and highly customizable, yet amazingly easy to use. Just connect your Mac to your living room TV and enjoy all of your digital media on the big screen from the comfort of your sofa. In addition to the essential music, movies, and photos modules, Xhub Media Center also offers internet radio, web browsing, and EyeTV integration.
“If you’re looking to have TV-viewing capabilities built right in”, Ars Technica wrote in their rundown of Mac media center applications, “then it’s the clear choice.” XHub Media Center, Ars Technica sums up their review, has “a nice-looking interface with tons of file format support and a fully themeable interface.”
With built-in support for Salling Clicker, an award-winning software that allows you to use a Bluetooth/WiFi-enabled cell phone or PDA as a high-end remote control, XHub Media Center has the most sophisticated control options available on any system. It also supports remotes from Apple, ATI, Keyspan and many other manufacturers.
XHub Media Center 2.1 adds a wide range of slideshow transition styles and photo effects: black and white, sepia, polaroid, digital, cube, mosaic flip, and more. It also adds an enhanced interface and many new graphical themes, with more than twenty themes to choose from. In addition, users can now design their own themes in Quartz Composer in order to get a truly personalized media center experience.
The new version also brings improved performance, stability and customizability, such as the option to adjust the menu font size and set a custom font for all themes. The integrated iTunes Cover Flow view is now also fully compatible with iTunes 7.3 and later.
Pricing & Availability:
XHub Media Center is available through Snarb.tk’s web site (www.snarb.tk) at a price of $24.95 (US). Upgrades to version 2.1 from previous versions are free. A fully functional demo is available for download.
