Microsoft Hotmail to offer 5 gigabytes of storage

Microsoft has now announced that they would now offer 5 GB of storage with their Hotmail webmail service.

This would more than double the existing capacity offered by this webmail service which is one of the most widely used service in the world.

Ellie Powers-Boyle, a program manager for Windows Live Hotmail wrote in a blog post on this new development: “Just when you were wondering how you’d ever fill up 2 or 4 GB of mail, we’ve given you more storage.”

Google had originally launched the email capacity war by offering a gig storage capacity with their Gmail. It currently offers around 3 Gigabytes of storage.

Yahoo Mail and AOL Mail are offering unlimited storage.
