Xandros and Microsoft expand their partnership
Linux company Xandros has announced that they are now expanding their partnership with the software giant Microsoft.
The company is now licensing a pair of messaging protocols from Microsoft.
This deal would allow users of their Scalix mail server to synchronize data with platforms that use Exchange Server.
The two companies however did not disclose the financial aspects of this expanded deal.
Microsoft had earlier this year made available the Outlook-Exchange Transport protocol for licensing to third parties.
They are already working with Xandros to develop software that will link Xandros’ System Management tools with Microsoft’s System Center.
