Apple offering free 30-day trial version of Apple iWork ‘08

Apple has made an interesting choice by offering a free 30-day trial version of Apple iWork ‘08.

Apple iWork ‘08 is the newly updated office productivity suite from the company which is designed to provide a cheaper alternative to more expensive applications like Microsoft Office for Mac.

The most important enhancement in this updated iWork is the addition of a spreadsheet application named Numbers.

This is not as feature packed as the Microsoft Excel but provides an easier alternative which Apple claims would be able to import most Excel spreadsheets.

Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO had said about this application during the recently held meet: “Pages and Keynote make it incredibly easy, and even fun, for anyone to create stylish documents and presentations very quickly. Numbers rounds out the iWork suite, which is far more intuitive and easy to use than anything else out there”.
