Red Hat Global Desktop Linux delayed
Linux company Red Hat has now announced that they are delaying the launch of their upcoming OS release Red Hat Global Desktop Linux.
This release is being developed for the personal computers to compete with Microsoft’s Windows OS.
The company said in a statement that Red Hat Global Desktop Linux will not be available until September.
Red Hat had announced sometime back that they were working with Intel Corp. on this edition of the Linux release.
They plan to offer it with a wide range of programs. It would be offered with one-year subscription to security updates.
Ubuntu is increasingly becoming a major challenger to Red Hat in the personal computer front. They recently collaborated with Dell to launch Ubuntu powered desktops and notebooks.
