Firefox 3 to get Opera like Zooming capabilities

Firefox 3 would get similar zooming capabilities that Opera Browser has included since a long time now.

Incidentally, even Internet Explorer 7 provides the zoom feature which increases the size of the entire page and not just text content.

This feature has been included in the Firefox 3 nightly builds. But tools to access this feature are still not included in the builds.

Zoom feature was added in the Gecko 1.9 rendering engine which would power this upcoming Firefox version.

Incidentally, this feature was part of the demand for the Gecko engine since 1999 but it was not considered a feature worth adding to the rendering engine till now.

With rival browsers featuring the zooming capabilities, it is high time that Firefox too includes this functionality.

Nice trolling. It could not be added because the necessary fixes to accommodate this were not in previous versions.

This feature was of course first implemented in Opera. You might mention things as important as that next time. ;)
