Mark Shuttleworth: Dell to offer more Linux based machines
Dell recently surprised the market by collaborating with Canonical Inc to launch Ubuntu powered desktop machines and notebooks.
Canonical founder Mark Shuttleworth has now said in a statement that the world’s second largest personal computer maker is happy with the response to their Linux based products and they are now going to launch more such machines in the market.
Shuttleworth said in a statement: “What’s been announced to date is not the full extent of what we will see over the next couple of weeks and months. There are additional offerings in the pipeline.”
Dell has however refused to confirm this claim made by their partner company but a recent blog posting on the company’s website had also hinted towards more products.
A Dell representative did say that the company was pleased with customer response to its Linux PCs.
