Acer blames Microsoft for shipping a disappointing Vista operating system
Taiwan-based personal computer maker Acer has blasted the world’s largest software company Microsoft for shipping a disappointing Vista operating system.
Head of the company Gianfranco Lanci said in a statement: “The entire industry is disappointed by Windows Vista. And that’s not going to change in the second half of this year.”
He further said in a statement: “I really don’t think that someone has bought a new PC specifically for Vista.”
Lanci also said that this is the first major OS release from the Microsoft which has failed to do any for the sales of the new computers in the market.
The PC manufacturing industry waited for years for this launch and they were left disappointed.
Microsoft also suffered from a delayed launch as both them and the PC manufacturers lost out on the holiday season last year which is the best launch time for any product.
