Sun Microsystems adds a compiler to the JavaFX platform
Sun Microsystems has now announced that they have added on a compiler to their JavaFX technology which has been designed to develop graphical applications.
This platform was first introduced in May this year and the company has been quiet about the new developments on it since then.
Sun added that they are also working on an updated plug-in to outfit the open source NetBeans platform for building JavaFX applications.
Jean Elliott, Sun’s senior director of Java software product marketing added in his statement on these new developments: “JavaFX makes the power that existed within Swing more accessible to developers so they can create exciting applications.”
Chet Haase, Sun Java chief client architect added: “What you really want to do is compile an entire program, get it all into Java to begin with and it compiles much faster.”
