Microsoft Longhorn server edition to come out in February next year
Software giant Microsoft has said in a statement that they would launch the next wave of its enterprise products in February next year.
This would include the launch of their much awaited “Longhorn” version of Windows Server.
The launch would take place during an event in Los Angeles.
Microsoft Chief Operating Officer Kevin Turner further said that the company would launch Windows Server 2008 along with Visual Studio 2008 and SQL Server 2008 in Los Angeles on Feb. 27, 2008.
This would however disappoint some of their customers who have been hoping to see the launch of Windows Server 2008 taking place sometime during this year itself.
Turner further said: “It’s the biggest single launch we will have at Microsoft in one day [in 2008]. There are hundreds of billions of dollars available to you through the monetization of these products.”
