Apple releases Reset Utility 1.0.2 for iPod Shuffle owners
Apple has released an updated Reset Utility 1.0.2 for the owners of Apple iPod Shuffle players. The company said that the utility works with both generation of Shuffle players.
This utility has been designed to help the owner of the Shuffle player to reset the player to its factory settings.
The application basically works as an emergency kit that’s designed for use in situations in which iTunes can’t reset an iPod shuffle.
The company clarifies that resetting the Shuffle would clean it up and all the data stored on it would be lost.
The software has been designed to be used in case of following issues with iPod Shuffle player:
– iPod will not play music, and cannot be restored using iTunes.
– iPod is not recognized by iTunes, but is visible in My Computer or in Device Manager on a Windows PC, or in Apple System Profiler on a Mac.
– iPod shuffle (First Generation) is identified as a device in “Recovery mode.” iPod shuffle (Second Generation) is identified as a “USB DFU device.”
