Use Meebo to use Instant Messengers on Apple iPhone

Apple has not apparently supplied any kind of instant messaging application on their just launched Apple iPhone device.

Considering that the device functions as a full featured internet device, this is quite strange. However, iPhone owners can use the Meebo web based service to access their instant messengers to communicate with their friends and relatives.

There were some initial hiccups as Meebo had some compatibility issues with the iPhone device. But these have now been resolved and the service works well with the mobile phone now.

Communicating with IM buddies however still remains complicated using Meebo as the user cannot read and type messages at the same time. The smallish screen of the iPhone also means that several instant messaging windows would become a hassle for the user.

However, there is a lot of time for the developers of Meebo and other similar services to come out with a usable product for the iPhone users.

Looks like after Wii, it’s time web developers start making iPhone optimized versions of their sites!
