Apple releases Safari 3.0.1 Public Beta for Windows
Apple has responded to the spate of security flaws reported in the Safari web browser beta edition just released for the Windows platform.
The company has now released Safari 3.0.1 Public Beta for Windows which features at least three security vulnerabilities.
Apple said that the updated version is available on their website and would also be delivered through Apple Software Update application bundled with versions of QuickTime and iTunes for Windows.
The company further confirmed that none of these reported bugs affected Mac OS X versions of the browser.
We at TechWhack have checked out Safari on the windows platform and found it to be sluggish and pretty tiresome to use compared to our favorite Opera. But more competition in this market is always welcome.
