Microsoft launches Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1

Software giant Microsoft has launched Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1 for their mobile operating system product.

This release is primarily designed to fix the issue faced by users of the most recent Windows Mobile devices who have been unable to sync their devices with Vista powered personal computers.

This is the upgraded version of the software application which enables them to manage their phones.

Microsoft said that this application is basically a replacement for their previous application ActiveSync.

John Starkweather, group product manager in Microsoft’s mobile communications group added in a statement issued to the media: “In the past, some users reported installation and compatibility issues with Windows Mobile Device Center [WMDC]. We have released an update to WMDC intended to improve the overall user experience.”

The updated release adds more features like syncing HTML-formatted mail, allowing data connections on the phone when connected to the PC and automatic device authentication.

I also encountered a problem now, I am not using Windows Vista, still using the Windows XP Pro (Service Pack 2), and now I can’t sync my Mobile Windows 6.1

This is very annoying, can anyone advise me back?
I need to solve this issue, since I utilize my PDA to my office daily tasks.

    Many thanks in advance,
    Momoko
