Broadcom BTW Version 6.1 launched for Windows Vista OS
Broadcom has announced their latest product range including the Broadcom BTW Version 6.1 which has been developed for the Vista operating system.
This has been developed to enable PC makers to offer their customers a range of new applications related to wireless audio and entertainment capabilities.
This software product operates in conjunction with Vista’s inbuilt Bluetooth software.
This software technology could now possibly enable Vista users to implement advanced Bluetooth profiles for printing, digital imaging, file transfer, and file synchronization.
Broadcom said in a statement: “The wizard detects the network carrier, the correct phone settings, and automatically populates the information in the appropriate screens. This provides mobile consumers with hassle-free connectivity in places without a wired or Wi-Fi connection.”
Celeste Crystal, IDC senior analyst added: “Bluetooth has already achieved widespread adoption in mobile phones, and the technology is making significant inroads into the notebook PC market. In 2006, over 25.8% of notebook PCs featured Bluetooth technology.”
