Google Calendar now accessible from mobile devices
Google has now made their Google Calendar application accessible from mobile devices. The company said that mobile users can now access their schedules from their mobile phones.
Google software engineer Devesh Parekh wrote in a blog post that it made sense making the application mobile friendly considering there are more mobile devices out their than computers.
Now, when a Google Calendar user accesses the service from the mobile device, they would be able to see appoints complete with date, time, location, and description. This data would be optimized for small screen display.
Google added in the statement that this new service would also provide a link to Google Maps to find directions, as well as an option to add new appointments.
Google’s Calendar service is available for free though the mobile users might have to pay for the net usage from their mobile devices.
