Apple Mac users get Microsoft Office 2007 File Converter
Microsoft has announced that their Macintosh Business Unit (Mac BU) has released the much awaited Office 2007 File Converters.
These converters would allow the Mac users to work with Office 2007’s new file formats. This would save them from the hassles of dealing with the new format files till Microsoft comes out with their upcoming release of Office 2008 for the Mac.
Microsoft is scheduled to launch the Office 2008 for Mac sometime later this year.
These new converters are available for dwonload at the Microsoft’s Microsoft’s Mactopia site. These converters would turn the .docx files to .rtf. Mac users would also be able to open read-only versions of Office Open XML files.
A good feature addition is that they can convert these files individually or as a batch.
Microsoft added that they are also planning to offer an Office Open XML converter for the upcoming Office 2008 for Mac.
