WordPress 2.2 released!

The developers behind the popular Blogging platform WordPress have released the latest stable version of WordPress.

The latest version is WordPress 2.2 and it has been in honor of tenor saxophonist Stan Getz.

This latest updated release come loaded with a couple of new features in addition to over two hundred bug fixes.

Some of the newly added enhancements include:

WordPress Widgets
Full Atom support
New Blogger Importer
Infinite comment stream

The WordPress 2.2 release also include dozens of UI and accessibility improvements to make the experience more joyful for the end user.

What is WordPress?

Wikipedia states: “WordPress is a blog publishing system written in PHP and backed by a MySQL database. WordPress is the official successor of b2\cafelog, developed by Michel Valdrighi. The name WordPress was suggested by Christine Selleck, a friend of lead developer Matt Mullenweg.”
