Microsoft to launch Forefront Client Security and System Centre Essentials 2007 in July

Software giant Microsoft is likely to launch their latest security and management products Forefront Client Security and System Centre Essentials 2007 in July this year.

The company said that Forefront Client Security has been designed to block viruses and malware from attacking laptops and desktops while the Essentials package is a set of management tools for smaller companies with 50 to 500 staff.

Eric Berg, Microsoft director of product management for System centre added that these software products are not scaled down versions of their other products. Instead, they have been developed specifically for smaller companies.

Microsoft further claimed that these new tools would also be more tightly integrated to help firms more easily provision, manage and monitor security procedures.
