Microsoft likely to post DNS patch this coming Tuesday
Microsoft Corp.’s security center has confirmed that they are going to release the patch to fix the DNS vulnerability in their server products.
This patch would be one of the seven patches expected to be released by the coming on Patch Tuesday this month. The software giant releases the patches for their software applications on the second Tuesday of every month.
Christopher Budd wrote in a posting on the Microsoft Security Response Center (MSRC) blog: “The listing of updates slated for Tuesday does include the update we’ve been working on.”
His earlier blog posts had stated that they were working on the patch to fix the problem but they were not sure if it would be delivered in this coming Patch Tuesday.
Budd added in the latest blog post: “You should include a plan to undo the workarounds you implemented during your deployment.” He further said that the patch is likely to require the administrators to reboot their servers.
