Vertical Computer Systems suing Microsoft over .net technology
Vertical Computer Systems has announced that they have filed a lawsuit against the software giant Microsoft for patent infringement.
VCS claims Microsoft is infringing on their patented technologies with their Microsoft’s .Net framework for building Windows-based software.
They have filed the lawsuit in a U.S. District Court in Texas. They are claiming that Microsoft has infringed on its Patent No. 6,826,744 for a “system and method for generating Web sites in an arbitrary object framework.”
They own the patent for their own SiteFlash technology. This technology uses XML to create a component-based structure to build and efficiently operate Web sites.
The lawsuit further claims that Microsoft continues to willfully infringing on the patent despite receiving a notice from them about it on Feb. 7.
