Dell brings back Windows XP on their systems
This is not going to please Microsoft but Dell is again letting their home PC buyers choose between Windows XP and Windows Vista operating systems.
This is applicable when the customers try to place an order for a new machine. Dell had previously stopped offering the XP operating system on most of their home machines after Microsoft launched their Vista operating system earlier this year.
Business customers were still being offered XP on several models. Dell found out from their IdeaStorm Web site that a lot of potential customers still wanted them to offer the XP operating system along with their machines.
The company said in its response to the customers: “We heard you loud and clear on bringing the Windows XP option back to our Dell consumer PC offerings.”
Dell is now offering XP as an alternative to Vista OS for four models of its Inspiron notebooks and two models of its Dimension desktop PCs.
