Google Docs all set to receive presentation tool

Google Inc. Chief Executive Eric Schmidt has said in a statement that they are all set to add a presentation tool to their Google Docs online service.

This confirms the rumors in the market that the company is currently working hard on completing their online suite which provides an alternative to Microsoft’s MS Office productivity suite.

Google Docs is an online service from the search engine giant which currently has a word processor and a spreadsheet tool. Users are free to create new files which are stored on the Google servers. They are also allowed to upload their existing files for editing, viewing and storing online.

Google however maintains that they are not really becoming a challenger to Microsoft’s MS Office suite. Schmidt said: “We don’t think so. The reason is it doesn’t have all the functionality nor is it intended to have all the functionality of Microsoft Office.”
