Apple introduces Final Cut Server
Apple Inc. has revealed their latest software product named Final Cut Server. The company said that this new server application would provide media asset management and workflow automation.
Apple added that Final Cut Server is a saleable server application and it would support workgroups of any size. It comes loaded with a cross-platform client that enables content browsing, review and approval from within a studio or over the Internet.
The company further said that this software product would automatically catalogues large collections of assets, catalogues content, generating thumbnails and low resolution clip proxies in the process. It would also enable searching across multiple volumes via an intuitive user interface.
Apple added that the Final Cut Server would be made available in the market this summer. It would sell for US$1289 for one server and 10 concurrent client licenses.
