VMware launches another beta of their VMware Fusion for Mac
VMware has released the latest beta of their Fusion virtualization software for Macs. The software product is now officially called VMware Fusion and the latest beta release comes loaded with several additional features and improved performance.
The company said that the latest beta release works with Intel-based Macs and uses a “Cocoa-native” user interface. It allows the Mac user to run Microsoft Windows and other x86 operating system to run side-by-side with the Mac OS X operating system.
The updated version supports other 32- and 64-bit operating systems including Linux and Solaris. Their prime competitor in this virtualization market is Parallels which too has launched its own Desktop for Mac software, which supports Windows and Linux operating systems.
The developers added that this latest beta release offers additional performance enhancements by allowing users to disable debugging codes in the virtualization software.
