Microsoft issues the critical patch for the recently discovered vulnerability
Software industry giant Microsoft has finally released the patch for the much talked about vulnerabilities in their operating system products.
This patch fixes several versions of their operating system products including the recently launched Windows Vista. Incidentally, Microsoft had claimed that Vista was their most secure OS product offering ever.
Interestingly, the patch has been issued ahead of the upcoming Patch Tuesday release which is when the company releases their software patches.
One of the most critical issues fixed by the patch is said to be the one related to how the OS handles the animated cursor files. Experts claim that several hundreds of websites on the web are trying to infect their visitors with this bug.
They had even claimed that Microsoft had known about this issue since December last year.
