Red Hat claims Yahoo is still a major client
Linux Company Red Hat is struggling in the market with their profits taking a beating. Oracle recently launched their Linux support program which costs half the price Red Hat charges.
Oracle even claimed that they have managed to take Yahoo! as first of their major clients. However, Red Hat has now said in a statement that their relationship with Yahoo at least is strong.
Matthew Szulik, chairman, CEO, and president of Red Hat said in a statement: “I spoke with Yahoo yesterday, and they were very quick to respond that they have had and continue to have a very successful relationship with Red Hat.”
Yahoo! too had clarified in a statement that their current infrastructure uses both Red Hat and Oracle products.
The company posted profits of $20.5 million in the most recent quarter which are down from $27.3 million in the same quarter last year.
