Opera adding Speed Dial feature to desktop web browser
Opera browser developers have released in beta testing a new release of their software application which comes loaded with a new feature named Speed Dial.
The company said that this feature would give users a convenient way to access their most visited sites. Opera also showcased their next version of the Opera Mobile browser for Windows Mobile devices.
The Speed Dial feature in the Opera Desktop browser enables the user to create nine visual bookmarks of their most visited websites. These are made accessible when the user opens up a new blank tab.
Opera said that this feature would be included in the upcoming Opera 9.2 release and is already being tested by beta testers.
The company has also unveiled a technology preview of the next release of the Opera browser for Windows Mobile. Opera said that the Opera Mobile 8.65 browser would allow users to access new features such as searching directly in the address bar, copy text, save function for images and the ability to import Internet Explorer bookmarks. They have released a beta version of this product.
Opera also announced their new collaborations and said that their browser would be made available on the following Windows Mobile devices: Motorola MOTO Q q9; the ASUS V1210 for Vodafone International and the VDA IV for Vodafone Germany; T-Mobile Ameo; Dopod U1000 in Asia; and the Toshiba G500.
