Microsoft releases a couple of Vista patches including one for iPods

Software giant Microsoft has released a couple of fixes for Windows Vista to fix bugs discovered in the recent times. The company had launched the Vista operating system in January this year.

These fixes include a patch for a bug which is somewhat related to the Apple’s iPod player. Apple has accepted that their iTunes application is still not fully compatible with Vista and might cause problems for the iPod owners.

The company said that the patch fixes a problem with the Safely Remove Hardware feature of the operating system which is used by iPod owners to unplug their devices from the computer.

Apple had recently said in a statement that they were actively working with Microsoft to resolve a few remaining known issues. The company also recommends the users to use Eject iPod option on the iTunes Controls menu to unplug the iPod from a computer loaded with the Vista operating system.

Microsoft added that one of the patches fixes issues which results in Vista OS ruining raw images taken with Canon EOS-1D or EOS-1Ds cameras. Another fix updates Microsoft’s Windows Customer Experience Improvement Program (CEIP).
