Microsoft offering free software trials to small businesses

Software giant Microsoft has announced that they would now offer small businesses access to free software trials and business tools as long as they can ensure running genuine Windows operating system in their offices.

The company said in a statement at the Small Business Summit that small business operations can take part in the WGA (Windows Genuine Advantage) program and they would get a seven-day free trial of business credit-report checks and a six-month trial of Microsoft Office OneNote 2003.

These companies would also get access to free download of Microsoft Windows Defender, Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer V2.0, Microsoft Software Inventory Analyzer, and Photo Story 3 for Windows through WGA.

Interested business operations can participate in the program by verifying their computers through the WGA program that their version of Windows 2000 or Windows XP is genuine.
