Apple releases fixes for 45 security holes
Apple Inc. has announced that they have released security fixes and patches for as many as 45 security holes. The company added that these issues included several zero-day vulnerabilities.
This is incidentally the company’s seventh such release in three months. Apple said that these patches include fixes for both their own and third party applications.
Interestingly, as many as 16 fixes are said to be related to issues announced by the people behind popular bug finding events like Month of Apple Bugs and Month of Kernel Bugs.
The company has advised that customers should immediately update their machines with the latest patches considering some of the flaws are serious enough to give away the control of their Macs.
These patches can be downloaded and installed from the Software Update feature in Mac OS X, or from Apple Downloads.
The funny thing is that Microsoft has released no patches this month as they decided to skip the March’s Patch Tuesday.
