Google Desktop 5 released with preview feature and added security
Search engine giant Google has released the latest version of their desktop search application. Google Desktop 5 adds new preview functionality.
The company has also made some improvements in the user interface of the application. Also, they have added some new security features to fight phishing and other online attacks.
The tool already has support for additional functionality with gadgets which can be downloaded from the web.
The new version comes with preview feature which show the contents of a file without having to launch the application it was created with.
This can be helpful in situation where several results are shown with similarities and the user finds it tough to recognize the file he was looking for.
The version 5 has been released in beta as the company wants to check out for any flaws before releasing the final edition.
