Vista loaded PCs fail to excite Japanese customers

Market Research Company BCN has stated in a report that software giant Microsoft failed to generate much excitement with the launch of the Vista operating system in the Japanese market.

The first month of sale of Vista loaded machines had no impressive figures to show. The sales were 1.2 percent higher than the same month in 2006.

This research report was prepared from data gathered from about 560 specialist PC and electronics shops that are part of 12 retail chains in the country.

The report added that the analysts had expected the sales to be better because consumers had shown a lack of interest in new PCs in the months prior to Vista’s launch. Microsoft launched Vista in January this year along with the latest edition of their Office productivity suite.
