It’s the Month of PHP Bugs

We recently saw Apple Mac developers organizing the Month of Apple Bugs. The new concept is the Month of PHP Bugs which targets one of the most widely used scripting language on the web.

Developer Stefan Esser is the man behind this latest project and they have already reported 11 bugs in five days. One of these bugs is an old flaw reintroduced in a new version of PHP.

He claims that some of these bugs are unlikely ever to be fixed. The developers behind the project added: “we do not enforce a one-vulnerability-per-day limit upon ourselves.”

They say that this project has been started to force PHP developers to improve security. Zend, sponsors of the PHP development program have publicly criticized Esser for his aggressive attitude toward PHP developers.
