FotoTagger: Another interesting tool to download images from Flickr

In my hunt to find the best application to download my archives from Flickr, I found yet another application named FotoTagger.

FotoTagger is primarily a tool to add movable notes to individual elements on images. Think tagging of images on your machine something Google Picasa does in a primitive form.

I found the actual functionality of the program to be pretty useless for me but it does work as an excellent tool to download images from Flickr.

It asks for the usual authorization from Flickr so that it can access private photos hosted on the server. This enables the tool to download all the images hosted on your Flickr account.

After you specify the folder where the images should be downloaded, it gives an option to select the sets and the file size which you would want to download.

That’s it, after getting these inputs; the application downloads all the images from Flickr on your local hard drive.

However, it seems to be able to download only one set at a time. Great tool to get back the images from Flickr in case you lost the originals due to hard drive failure or accidental formatting…
