Symantec to launch Norton 360 next month
Amazon.com has claimed that the security application maker Symantec would start shipping their Norton 360 application next month.
Market sources claim that the retailers have begun taking orders for Symantec’s latest security offering which has been undergoing beta testing since quite some time.
Norton 360 would take on Windows Live OneCare and McAfee’s Total Protection 2007 products in the market.
The security suite provides tools for backups, encryption, hard drive clean-up, and password-protection in addition to routine antivirus, antispam, antispyware and firewall features.
Symantec claims that this product has been beta tested by more than 100,000 users since it was released in beta late last November.
