Red Hat to join Interop Vendor Alliance
Linux Company Red Hat has said in a statement that they are joining the Interop Vendor Alliance. This alliance is a group of tech companies that are working to make their products more interoperable with products from Microsoft.
The company added that they would focus on making its middleware more compatible with Microsoft’s. They would also continue on the efforts started by its JBoss division.
Red Hat added that their goal is to ensure that its products can perform well in environments where Windows OS is present.
Red Hat’s announcement comes just a day after rival Novell announced a roadmap for products designed to work in either Windows or Linux environments in partnership with Microsoft.
Interop Vendor Alliance has other members including Sun Microsystems, BEA Software, EMC and CA.
