Opera Mobile 9: Opera Mobile browser for Windows Mobile 6 platform
Norway based software company Opera has announced that they would make available their Opera web browser on both Windows Mobile 5 and Windows Mobile 6.
The company also showcased the alpha versions of their new Opera Mobile 9 at the ongoing 3GSM trade show in Barcelona.
This version is being developed for all Windows Mobile platforms. They would also be launching updated versions of Opera Mobile 8 for Windows Mobile Smartphone and PocketPC, versions 5 and 6.
The company had no product on this platform which powers several popular mobile devices including the Motorola Q, T-Mobile Dash and Samsung Blackjack.
Opera Software also announced their plans to develop Opera browser versions for Symbian UIQ and Series 60 devices. This would bring the software to mobile devices like the Sony Ericsson W950 and Nokia N80.
The company has based their Opera Mobile 9 browser on the version they specifically developed for the Nintendo Wii platform. It features innovative new smooth zooming feature. This application would also support plugins like the Adobe Flash and others.
