Nokia announces Intellisync Mobile Suite 8.0
World’s leading maker of mobile phones Nokia is now trying to boost the use of mobile e-mail in the enterprise sector. The company has now announced the latest version of their Intellisync software.
Nokia also has launched a couple of new handsets aimed at business users. They showcased these new products at the ongoing 3GSM World Congress in Barcelona.
Market analysts believe that these new products and services could help Nokia take on Microsoft in the business community. Microsoft dominates this market with their Windows Mobile platform based phones while Nokia tends to rely on Symbian mobile OS.
Microsoft also just showcased their Windows Mobile 6.0 OS for the mobile devices. Both Windows Mobile 6.0 and Intellisync enable mobile access to corporate e-mail.
Nokia said in a statement: “Soon, half the population of the world will use a mobile phone, yet the mobile phone is still considered a privilege if you’re working in a company.”
Nokia added that the Intellisync update is compatible with Symbian, Windows Mobile, Palm and some lower-end Java-based phones.
