Hewlett Packard and SAP collaborating to offer new services

US based tech giant Hewlett Packard has said that they are going to work with SAP to offer new services to their customers.

They are going to support an enterprise service-oriented architecture (Enterprise SOA) blueprint from SAP. Their customers would then be able to achieve better integration and alignment of people, information and business processes across business and technology.

The company would also be designing and implementing services to support key SAP NetWeaver components, including an SAP NetWeaver Portal program for workforce integration, an SAP NetWeaver Exchange Infrastructure (SAP NetWeaver XI) program for process integration, and an SAP NetWeaver Business Intelligence (SAP NetWeaver BI) program for information integration.

Interestingly, HP had announced last year a similar intensification of SOA services to support SAP rival Oracle Corp. and its Fusion middleware.

Tim Treat, manager of worldwide packaged applications for enterprise applications services at HP spoke on this new development: “SAP is one of the most complex solutions in computing. If you solve a problem in SAP, you can solve problems across infrastructure everywhere.”
