Symantec launches Information Foundation 2007

Security application developer Symantec has launched their latest product named Information Foundation 2007. The software provides several functions including managing content ranging from e-mail to instant messages.

This product also includes the new version of its Enterprise Vault archiving product.

The application comes with licenses to use the company’s Enterprise Vault, Mail Security 8300 Series Appliance Software, IM Manager, and Web Security for Microsoft’s Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server 2004 software.

Symantec said that this suite can scan e-mail content, archive instant messages, and set retention policies of documents for compliance purposes. It also comes loaded with antivirus and antispam features.

The company also claims that the application suite improves server performance through more efficient archiving.
