Microsoft to launch Vista for consumers tomorrow
Software giant Microsoft is due to launch their Vista operating system in the retail market tomorrow. The launch is very critical for the company as they take on the growing influence of the internet based services.
Vista has been in development since five years and the company reportedly spent close to around six billion dollars on its development.
Microsoft claims that Vista is its most sophisticated, secure and intuitive operating system product ever. Analysts however claim that the operating system product is packed with features that bring it up to date but break little new ground.
Rob Helm, research director at Directions on Microsoft spoke about Vista: “I don’t think it will change fundamentally what people do with computers or what they are capable of doing. There is nothing Vista is going to blow the doors off of.”
Analysts claim that not many would move on to the Vista operating system initially but would upgrade as they replace their current computers with new ones.
