Wall Street Journal: Dell might start taking Vista loaded PC orders before official launch

Media group Wall Street Journal has reported that the personal computer maker Dell is going to begin taking orders for notebooks and desktops loaded with Vista Operating System before Microsoft launches it in the market.

Consumers as a result would be able to receive Vista loaded machines on the same day as the launch of the operating system in the market.

Microsoft is going to launch Vista OS and Microsoft Office 2007 in the retail market on January 30.

Dell would be offering both Desktop and Notebook models with preloaded Vista OS to the customers. This is the first major Windows Operating System launch in several years as Microsoft suffered several delays in launching this product.

Vista OS is going to be very critical for the company as it faces massive challenges from web based services which are increasingly becoming more relevant.
