Novell launches Vista-Linux comparison site

Novell might be partnering with Microsoft on better interoperability between Linux and Windows OS but they are still continuing with their plans to challenge the upcoming launch of the Vista operating system.

The Linux Company has now launched a new section on their site featuring comparison between the Vista OS and their Linux based operating system products.

The company reminds the users that they already have launched the SLED 10 (SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop) and are recommending them to switch over to Linux.

On this section, Novell claims that Linux OS beats Vista both on TCO (total cost of ownership) and on usability grounds.

The company further states that “With SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 10, you receive over 90 percent of the functionality of Vista and Office for less than 10 percent of the price.”
