CheckPoint launches version 7 of ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite
Security application maker CheckPoint software has launched the latest version of their ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite.
The latest version is 7 and the latest edition now comes powered with Kaspersky Labs antivirus engine. Previous versions came loaded with antivirus engine from CA.
The new version also comes with enhanced identity-theft protection features introduced last year in version 6.5. The software features a new interface and indicates the company’s move to remove the “Zone Labs” name from its identity.
The new antivirus engine downloads the latest security updates more regularly. Incidentally AOL Active Virus Shield uses the same engine.
The company claims that the security updates in this updated edition would be much smaller than earlier versions. The regular updates would result in a more up-to-date system capable of handling threats in a more efficient manner.
The users of version 6.5 can upgrade to this edition free of cost.
